Use A Firefox Extension to Download
Videos from YouTube.com
and Others for Free!
Many people recently, have asked me to show them how to download videos to their desktop from Youtube.com or other video sites. Using the following procedure, you can do it for free. When the file is downloaded it is a “Flash File” [.flv extension]. You may choose to convert it to a Windows Media Player format. I will provide the free software to do that, too.
First: You will need to download and install the FireFox Browser [a browser is just like windows Internet exploder. FireFox has its version] Click on this graphic:
Second: This browser has the ability to add extensions [extensions are like applications or functions that can be used within the FireFox browser]. So, you will want to add this extension to the browser. You can download the video down loader extension, by clicking on this graphic:
Next: Click on the little black “down arrow” [to the right of the 3 color balls] and you can select the file for download. It will start the process of downloading the file to your desktop.
