Brush stroking “don’t stroke it”
lol funny how the title makes everything more interesting hu? A lot of people probrally use brushes in some of their work and others just use it to create something fast and simple.
Brushes used in Photoshop give you the ability to create, modify and tone down what you want the the image or saturation. It gives you reveal customized brushes with its own unique texture forming what you make of it.
Rookies intend to use alot of these brushes and take about 5 min to create an abstract or something then call it ART, …….NOW SERIOUSLY?! don’t you think its a little too EASY for someone to just use brushes on their work and calling it a professional looking piece? Ho and im not going to lie, i went crazy when i found Photoshop and the fact that i can download TONS of creative and yet wonderful brushes out on the internet. But i have learned and SO WOULD YOU, trust me because its EVERYTHING is hard when you don’t know it. So lets say you downloaded brushes and you got this bad ass picture of your dog humping your leg and you want to put……some flowers and then paint your let brown so it can look like a tree. lol I don’t know, use your imagination.
But remember that the brushes in photoshop are not what makes photoshop interesting, it also has distorting,croping,filtering, and other goodies you can add without damaging the piece of work. Thanks to layouts we are able to save our work just as we intend it and later work or edit that same project.
NEED TO KNOW
Brushes do have a downfall when it comes to being used, they are originally pix elated into the proper side for the brush, this means that the brush will be blurry when you make it really big. If the one who creates the brush makes it ORIGINALLY BIG, the you should have no problem making it look good and sharp. The number one rule for brushes are
- The bigger the better it goes for anything in my book ……”guys 😀 ” lol
- Too much Detail make the brush look fake and actually forms a square that you have to edit yourself, WHY NOT JUST MAKE THE BRUSH SIMPLE
- The brush will look so fake on the picture if you don’t work on the brush itself
- TOO MANY BRUSHES IS BAD, NOT GOOD.
- UR LAZY if you keep using them

IM just joking, We all know that someone had to spend hours creating THIS TEXT, THIS COLOR, and this PROGRAM. So we all know that someone actually took the time and effort to create a really good looking brush for us to use but NOT OVER ABUSE THE DAM THING. Creating your own brush should be simple yet something that could help you on your work. Its not meant to be used as a stamp tool but it does help you from keeping creating the same form “LEAVES OR GRASS FOR EXAMPLE”.
Yes you can Download several brushes that i posted down below, but keep in mind that these brushes are THE PERFECT example of what i talked about.
If you dont have Photoshop, dont even bother downloading them lol.
Brushes or Vectors
So you are wondering what is the best way to create a design and keep it to its quality no matter how much you zoom in or out? Its easy and the title saids it all, its called VECTOR. These babies will stay clear and yet keep its shape to whatever you want it to be. Unlike brushes, vectors gives you the ability to Re-create or RE-shape the form of your Object to achieve you goal. It will never go Blurry when you make it bigger and it will never be pixilated when you make it even MORE bigger.
Vectors can be created with several different programs but the master of Vectors is ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR. Which is great because you aready own photoshop and when you want to send a vector file from ILLUSTRATOR TO PHOTOSHOP all u have to do is drag it to photoshop (like dragging a file to a folder) I like that feature and just the fact that you can still edit the vector inside photoshop.
Its pretty bad ass what you can do with both of these programs and you can even create amazing pieces if you use both of them together.
I haven’t been practicing my software and im slacking alot more as the months pass by. I really need to get in gear and stay up to date. I also have to pay off my dam CCDs which is a MISTAKE FOR ME TO BEGIN WITH. Right now im just downloading useful information about what i should do or what i should learn and go on from there.
ME AND BRUSHES
I sure hell get piss off when someone takes one picture adds 40 brushes shapes and just do a little blending and color change and call it a master piece…..im like “HELLO ITS A MASTER PIECE OF SHIT”. A lot of the brushes are very well known to Graphic Designers or people who own photoshop (because they downloaded it themselves) lol Im not saying its bad to download them, im just saying………look at it this way
“Photoshop brushes are like Baby shoes, one you grow up….GET RID OF THEM”
Yes its ok to use them one or twice, but dont just it to create a “so called art work” because the work has been already done for you.
LAZY OR JUST SAVING TIME?
You know what? i stooped giving a fuck “go ahead…use your brushes” i mean…. its not going to be the end of the world right? WRONG!
LOOK you worthless little turd, if using brushes is a matter of beein lazy, you mite as well go shoot yourself with drugs and at lest that give you a change to think about brushes in a totally different way. You mite even create good ones.
But its cool if you are using the brushes to just save time ” like tree leaves and grass or just hair” those things are OK because…..i personally dont like sitting on my computer chair for 24 hours trying to make hair for some ugly ass girls head…it would drive me NUTS …and so will my ass from sitting on that chair, god my ass doent even have hair…”OK BACK TO THE SUBJECT” LOL
Just follow and restrict yourself from using brushes all the time, it give people the impression that your not a Professional and that your lazy.Vector files rock and you can do basically what you want brushes to do BUT BETTER. So not only are you creating a good art work , but your making it original and you’re learning.
