Its been a while since I’ve played my favorite Mega Man game for NES , even in the latest super smash brothers game which is the big hit right now….. I could be loosing my touch with him since I intend to enjoy most of his pixellated games than the other versions like Mega Man 64 or mega man 8. I do miss that pixellated guy and I am sure a few more fans do too. So what’s to do? wait until Capcom unveils another graphic failure like Mega Man 64?. Well I went out and search to see what fans think of the whole “No pixels Mega Man” and saw that lots of fans do miss the classic environment that Mega Man brings.
According to a Destructoid article, A fan called MegaPhilX initially came up with a game project called “Mega Man Unlimited” just to join an animation contest sponsored by Capcom-Unity. When he decided to go ahead and make it a full game, he intended it to embody his ideas of what Mega Man 10 should be like, since the game had not yet been released at the time.
MegaPhilX says that the design for Mega Man Unlimited was influenced by Mega Man 9 and 3.MegaPhilX and five of his friends – Kevvviiinnn, ThunderThouin, Gabriel, Jocelyn and Jansim – have been working on the game for several years now and Mega Man Unlimited is finally in alpha stage. Let’s cut them some slack though, it’s not like programming this game is their full-time gig.
